About the American Pinochle Association
Founder/Owner - Bill Walker
Bill Walker aka reklaw founded the American Pinochle Association in June 2002 to establish an organization for dedicated pinochle players. His goal of bringing serious pinochle players together for both online and live tournaments in a fair, competitive, fun atmosphere evolved into the American Pinochle Association (APA). The ongoing support of many pinochle players from all over the United States, (even a couple from the UK), has lead to the ongoing growth of the APA. With the continuing support, suggestions and ideas from the members and staff of the American Pinochle Association, the APA will continue to grow and evolve. Email: reklaw66 @ hotmail.com.
Co-Chairman for the APA - Dean King
Dean King aka H_D has been a member of APA since 2003. He has been playing Pinochle since he was a child on the farm, but when he was in the military from 1967 through 1971 he discovered (much to his delight) that Pinochle was the game of choice. He has attended the Charlotte live event many times and also Grand Prix live tourneys. He loves to promote both on line and live Pinochle events and has committed time and resources to achieve a positive result. He feels that the APA is an excellent way to assist with ongoing promotions. His expertise with details and numbers (his degree is in accounting!!) have been helpful in staging a live event. He is willing to help in anyway possible and is proud to serve as the APA's Co-Chairman. He is always open to comments or suggestions and would be happy to receive your emails at kingpin4044 @ yahoo.com.
Senior Secretary/Officer for the APA - Mares or Maresy
A member of the APA since 2003, Mares is dedicated to making the APA (American Pinochle Association) the best it can be. Her goal is to help it continue to be a fair and fun place to play pinochle for both "live" and "on-line" pinochle games and tournaments. She has been Secretary of 2 bowling leagues, one for 15 years and the other for 7 years. She also enjoy meeting new people, whether "live" or "on-line". Mares invites, and encourages, any comments or suggestions. Email: maresy0 @ yahoo.com.
